Conserving Performance, Performing Conservation Research festival and exhibition
Can performance be conserved, and if so, how? And what does it mean to conserve performance?
14.09.2024 until 29.09.2024 – HKB, Fellerstrasse 11, 3027 Bern
This research festival and exhibition is dedicated to bringing the outcomes of four years of research Performance: Conservation, Materiality, Knowledge (Swiss National Science Foundation, 2020 – 2024) to a wider audience. The festival will take place in established visual arts, dance and performances institutions across Switzerland. Three full days of interactive, thematic workshops, demonstrations and discussions and two artist events will be accompanied by an exhibition at the HKB that probes, in an experimental way, the ongoingness of performance in a deep time of conservation.
