Career Skills HKB Music

How, where, for whom and with what intention do I bring music into the world? Music as a profession requires practical, sustainable and contemporary approaches. These skills are at the centre of Career Skills Music.

Our Approach

  • How do I organise myself properly?
  • How do I best prepare for competitions, performances etc.?
  • How do I present myself efficiently  orally, in writing and in text and images?
  • How do I carry out my own projects: logistically, musically, financially, medially?

Regardless of whether you are studying classical music, jazz, sound arts, composition or music & movement, you will inevitably be confronted with such questions at the beginning of your professional career as a musician.

Career Skills HKB is the interface between studying, practice and the profession. We focus on the different framework conditions of the genres - the jazz community, for example operates differently compared to the sound arts or classical music community. With experienced guests from the respective fields, a large network of foundations, institutions, alumnae partners and lecturers as well as our student agency KULT, we are close to the pulse of musical life.
