Missed-takes

Being in the classical music industry has prompted much reflection on our roles in the society and the certainty of classical musicians in the future. Over time, I have come to understand the essence of our work. The past tradition of performing arts has always been the striving of excellent and perfection. Only then we would be outstanding enough to be present in this society.
However in modern times, things may have changed. With the unprecedented growth of technology and AI, perfection is no longer hard to achieve. With a few clicks on our computers, we can effortlessly conceal our flaws. Therefore, the requirements for performing arts have changed. The audience is much more interested in the authenticity of the performance execution. I have realized that the audience may also appreciate the mistakes made in the pursuit of of excellence.
This realization led me to conceive my project, which involves embracing the mistakes I made during my practice sessions. I have compiled a few clips of myself making errors while practicing, highlighting the journey of improvement and the genuine process behind achieving excellence.
